CSCI Boarding Inspection Report 2007

Last November the school had its three yearly CSCI Boarding Inspection. The final report has just been published and we are delighted with the outcome. In his summary findings the Inspector observed that "boarders presented as a happy and well informed group who clearly loved their school".

All standards that were inspected were rated 'good' or 'excellent'. The Inspector was particularly impressed with our management of boarders' health and we were commended in relation to standards 2, 3 and 5 which confirmed the absence of any form of bullying or abuse; in his words "all boardes were clear that bullying was not an issue".

The report also points out that "staffing turnover remains exceptionally low and there have been no changes to the boarding welfare team for over three years which is valued by parents, staff and boarders."

It was acknowledged that boarding accommodation had been upgraded since the last inspection and the replacement bed programme and new curtains were recognised as further improvements that were being achieved. There were no outstanding recommendations from the last inspection and no recommendations following this inspection.
