In the first game of the season Maidwell lost the toss and were sent into bat. Off our 20 over's we managed to make 68 with Chetwode making 16 and Cook 12. We then had our opportunity to bowl and field in the hot English weather. We bowled Swanbourne out for 22 off 17 over’s. A good display in the field meant that Holborow and Robathan took 2/3 and Chetwode took 2/2. A very good first match with everyone in the team pitching in to help win.

Maidwell 118 for 1

On another hot day Maidwell played away and this time won the toss and batted first. Maidwell managed a massive 118 all thanks to a fantastic individual batting display by Edward Fenner who batted during all 22 overs making 84 n.o.

After this fantastic batting display Maidwell managed to back it up with the ball. The boys bowled Wellingborough out for 21 off 21 overs thanks to an all round bowling performance. All of the bowlers took one wicket and Luke Marchant took 2/3.
