On Sports Day we were delighted to welcome Ann Maxwell, her son Connor and Christopher Biggins. They were here to receive a cheque from us for the Muir Maxwell Trust following this year's sponsored walk and other fundraising.

This year's group of walkers and their parents raised an astonishing £28,543 which when added to other fundraising produced the grand total of £37,368. There will be gift aid added to this and there is still additional sponsorship coming in.

This was an enormous effort from all concerned and we are delighted that the Muir Maxwell Trust will be benefiting as a result.

As part of her letter following Sports Day Ann Maxwell paid this tribute to the school: "The outstanding sum of money raised by Maidwell Hall will go directly to the coal-face and enable us to provide nearly 100 children with a vital lifesaving epilepsy alarm. Your magnificnet effort will dramatically improve the quality of life of these children and that of their parents and carers. Thank you for all you have done for us, not only in fundraising but helping with our awareness campaign and also for sharing my passion for such a deeply needy cause."
